Approximately 85% of the people in Cambodia do not have access to safe drinking water and sanitation. Many depend on rain water and water holes contaminated with waterborne diseases. About 11,000 children die every year due to these conditions.

WATER AID FOR CAMBODIA is a public benefit corporation and is not organized for the private gain of any person. It is organized under the Nonprofit Public Benefit Corporation Law exclusively for charitable purposes. Its specific purposes are to provide water wells, sanitary waste disposal and other public infrastructure for inhabitants of Cambodia and other Southeast Asian countries.
